But how to pack all of it in just one week? No worries! Take inspiration from our new 7-day itinerary for your perfect week at Zaton Holiday Resort. Let’s say you arrive on Tuesday, all chilled because you avoided weekend traffic jam.

Day 1 & 2: Explore the resort

Treat yourself and your family like Mediterranean royals with a sunset dinner at the Ventula sundeck restaurant after spending the whole day in the sun and diving in the refreshing depths of the crystal-clear Adriatic Sea while your children have signed up for swimming, dancing, or mini driving school.

Kids will also be delighted to meet Zatonino, the resort’s seahorse mascot, who welcomes every child and introduces them to a wonderful world of games, friendly competitions, and fun moments. Zatonino will show them how to join the kids' and teens' clubs and take part in the specially designed activities led by our large animation team.

And with playgrounds and sand courts throughout the resort, your children can play carefree at any time of the day. And in the evening, they can head to a mini disco or watch one of the performances of the various themed musical shows with you. Whether you choose Cinderella Story for children, Millennials, or The Greatest Showman, we assure you that you will love it.

Wake up tomorrow with the sound of the birds and try beach yoga or morning fitness. Afterward, relax in the cool pine shade of the Summer Splash Bar with a curated selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, specialty coffees, homemade iced teas, and cold lemonades. Now, you are ready for a match of minigolf or tennis with your family.

Don’t forget to try out the pool and make plans for the evening at Blue, our ice cream, cocktail, and slushies paradise. Maybe you fancy some organic, locally grown meat from the grill at the Gradele Croatian Grill Restaurant. 

And maybe you just want to watch another evening show on our summer stage and then join Fiesta Latina in the Ventula Lounge Bar, powered by a DJ and professional dancers every Wednesday from 9 pm.

DAY 3 & 4: Explore the Area

Perfect time to visit the historic, UNESCO-protected center of Zadar by car or public transport. Don't miss the ancient Roman Forum, the Church of St. Donatus, and the Cathedral of St. Anastasia. From there you can walk in all directions and experience all that is Zadar.

When you come back to the resort, take a swim, grab something fast and delicious at Presto takeout, and just relax on your veranda, playing board games with your family and waiting for the night's fun to begin.

Spend the next day on the excursion and discover the natural beauty of Plitvice Lakes National Park or Krka National Park. Enjoy the cool air of springs and streams, while taking pictures for sweet memories.

Reserve Friday for Latino Family Fun, one of our themed evenings of Latino music and dance. Later, you might fancy a groovy house cocktail night in the Ventula Lounge, supported by a DJ, fire, and an incredible water performance that will leave you breathless. Be sure to take a walk on the beach before going to sleep.

DAY 5 & 6: Explore the Islands

Wake up to a beautiful Mediterranean morning and start your day with a swim in the crystal clear Adriatic Sea. If you're ready to explore more of the region and don't want to lie around the resort like a lion all day, we suggest you stay close to the sea and set sail for an island of your choice, for example Kornati or Silba.

To discover the hidden treasures of the Zadar archipelago, you can find information and bookings on the main promenade (Kalelarga Street). The excursion begins and ends in the small harbor on the westernmost part of the beach.

If this is your Saturday, you will not want to miss our hip-hop dance show "Millennials Rhapsody", which will take both you and your teenagers back to the beginning of this millennium, when hip-hop spread from the Bronx and became a generational movement that created a new lifestyle for millennials.

And if you become nostalgic for R'n'B vibes, head to R’n’B cocktail night at your favorite Ventula Lounge and let your soul dance.

However, if you feel like a trip to the islands would take up your whole day and you only want to explore something within walking distance, we recommend a visit to the oldest Croatian royal town of Nin and its unique salt museum founded by the Nin salt works.

Once you are back in Zaton, spend the afternoon relaxing or doing other activities, such as water sports: jet skiing, parasailing, SUP, etc. Or just watch the sun on the horizon and feel gratitude.

DAY 7: Explore Extreme Sports

For all those who can’t lie in the sun and swim all day, but want to end a great vacation with an adrenaline rush: Go bungee jumping off the Maslenica Bridge. But for those who opt for a medium rush: Have you ever tried canoeing through the canyon of the Zrmanja River?
